The dual-line sweet potato pulp drying project customized by Dingli for a customer in Sinan City, Guizhou Province, has been successfully put into operation. Built to process high-moisture by-products from local sweet potato starch production, the facility is equipped with two sets of purpose-built rotary dryers for sticky high-moisture materials, with model designations DLSG3610-3 and DLSG3010-3 running in parallel.
The production line has a rated processing capacity of 260 tons of raw feedstock per 24 hours. It steadily reduces the moisture content of incoming sweet potato pulp from up to 70% to a final moisture level of 13% or below. Sweet potato pulp is inherently sticky and rich in starch and pectin, a property that frequently creates operational headaches for conventional drying equipment, including wall adhesion, material caking, pipeline blockages and uneven drying results.
Dingli's custom-designed dryer integrates optimized internal lifting, breaking and self-cleaning anti-sticking structures. These components continuously disperse wet agglomerates, boost heat transfer efficiency and effectively prevent material buildup inside the cylinder. The dual-line layout delivers stable, uninterrupted operation and lowers overall production downtime risk, well adapted to the local site and climatic conditions in mountainous Guizhou.
The drying system features adjustable temperature control, high thermal efficiency and simple daily maintenance. After drying, the sweet potato pulp maintains stable quality and serves as a premium raw material for livestock feed and organic fertilizer production. This project turns a previously underutilized agro-processing by-product into a valuable commodity, supporting waste reduction and local circular agriculture development.
